hej whats up härligt!
hey! yes thats right, thanks!! i sometimes have big trouble finding inspiration. it can be evenings when i rip my hair of just cause i can’t come up with something to draw but its getting better. but try to think of an small idea and make it very personal. i like to draw calm and emotional motives, for an example the hand with the cross in it. i could make the hand to look like its in alot of pain but i think it looks better if its relaxed and calm. but i thought it was a little bit flat and i LOVE to draw tattoos in my paintings so therefore i made an sad eye to express more emotions. and from there its kind of a uniqe motive for just being a hand and a cross. go personal and incorporate things you love. also, don’t only draw stuff you want to. like the latest thing i did is a green zombie shrimp and thats not very emotional haha. i had no motivation to do it but i did, and i made it to my own style and now i’m really happy with it so try draw boring stuff aswell cause its better than to not draw at all. so just keep drawing and combine different ideas together to make it more personal. and you will get stuck but just do the best thing of the situation and do something small and easy, like a shrimp ;) hope i said something who make sense. xx
when i’m painting with watercolor i use a paper named the langton prestige, rough grain(!) it makes the water float better over the paper and i get much more smoother fadings than if i use a paper with fine grain but thats very individual so try both. i use marten(?) brush cause it can hold more water than a stiff synthetic brush. and that also helps to get a smoother result. when i draw i use what ever but when it comes to watercolor i think it helps if you use good material, wich costs a little bit more but its worth it
